Some mushrooms really do shine at night using a special power called bioluminescence. That means they make their own natural light the same type of glow you see in fireflies or some ocean creatures.


Scientists think these glowing mushrooms use their light to attract bugs, spread their spores, or maybe even communicate with the world around them.
